How this actually works
Because Region 8 already spans this entire metro, families do not need to hunt down a different regional office by county the way they might in a state where ombudsman regions are drawn more narrowly. Indiana Legal Services staffs several ombudsmen across sub-regions of Marion County specifically, so a call to the regional number will route to whoever actually covers the facility in question. If a direct extension does not connect, the statewide information and complaint line is a reliable fallback that reaches the same program.
